(Y/n) let out a long sigh as she sat through the meeting. It was not that she didn't like the meeting, but it's just that they would always argue. That's pretty much it. Argue. Yes, she had friends and she enjoyed talking with almost everyone. Especially one person. The only Brit in the room. Arthur. She had a little bit of a crush on the handsom Brit, and her dear friend Alfred knew this. He would flirt with (Y/n) as a joke, calling her things like "Babe" or "Hun", but they both knew neither liked eachother. He only did this to mess with Arthur, who would get a slightly annoyed expression whenever Alfred would try to flirt with (Y/n).
Alfred had a plan to help them out though. He knew that (Y/n) was terrified of clowns. Whenever she saw anything that had to do with the horrible creatures, she would scream, her (e/c) eyes going wide in shock, and she would bolt out of the room, or in extreme cases, the whole house itself. The first time that Alfred found this out was when he and (Y/n) decided to watch It. No, he was not going to force her to watch It again, but he WAS going to put up a few clown posters up, maybe even a few dolls. Since Arthur was her best friend, he knew she would run to his house in retreat.
"Alfred. AL! HELLLLOOOOO?" Alfred's head jolted up as he looked at the familiar girl, with (h/c) hair and bright, (e/c) eyes. "Hm? Ya dudette?" He let out a fake yawn, trying to pull it off like he was sleeping, and not plotting. "Were you asleep again?" She crossed her arms and tapped her left foot, trying to give him the most serious glare she could. Alfred let out his signature laughter, giving her a crooked smile. " 'Course dudette! This is boring!"
........ BONK! ...........
"OW! (Y/N)! WHAT THE HECK, DUDE!?" He held his head, looking up to meet (e/c) eyes, looking at him with an annoyed look. "Be nice, Al!" Alfred looked up and noticed that Arthur was presenting at the moment. Seeing this only caused his smile to return. "Oohhhh... I got it, (Y/n). You don't want me to be rude during Arthur's presentation." He whispered to her, and her face began to burn red. "S-S-S-Shut up!!" She sat back down, putting her head on the table with her arms wrapped around it, trying to conceal her blush before Arthur would see her.
He didn't, but he was confused, and worried, at her sudden outburst.
(Y/n) snuggled a pillow as she sat on the couch. She was watching Courage the Cowardly Dog, for nastalgia's sake, and was chuckling at the little bits of it she found the most entertaining. Soon, the episode she was on finished, and she decided to get to bed. She set the small pillow down and she walked to her bedroom. She changed into her (f/c) button-up pajama top and her matching, (f/c) pair of pajama pants. She threw herself into her soft bed and curled up underneath the covers after turning off the lamp that rested on her nightstand, and drifted off to sleep.
Thud Thud Thud Thud Thud!
(Y/n) jolted awake at the sounds of retreating footsteps. 'Who the heck would be in my house!? Unless Al or Artie were really in an emergencie...' She threw the covers off and began turning all the lights on as she passed, rubbing her eyes a bit. When she finally got to the living room, she almost screamed until her throat was raw. In her living room, were three posters of clowns. Each one having a smug, horrible grin, almost as if they were pleased by her look of horror. Sitting on top of her TV was a small clown doll, its body slumped over, which confirmed the fact that it wasn't alive, but still looked terrifying none-the-less.
Her (e/c) eyes grew in fear, as she sprinted to her front door. There was no WAY that she was going to stay there. There was only one person she could think of to visit at a moment like this.
(Y/n) knocked frantically on Arthur's front door, repeating the action until the door finally flew open, revealing the tired Brit. His bright blonde hair was ruffled and much messier than it usually was, forming, as they would say, "bed-head". He saw the look of fear on (Y/n)'s face and the look in his eyes turned to that of pure concern. "(Y-Y/n)? What's happening? Are you okay!?" She nodded frantically and ran in. Arthur closed the door and walked to (Y/n), who had planted herself on his couch, hugging her knees.
"Love, what happened?" He put a hand on her shoulder, causing her to look up at him. "A-Arthur.. I w-woke up... a-a-a-and there w-were c-clown p-p-posters a-and stuff a-all over!" She jumped up and hugged him, wrapping her arms around his neck tightly, sniffling. Arthur's cheeks turned a bright shade of red, but he ignored the burning sensation on his face and wrapped his arms around her, enveloping her in a warm hug. Soon he began petting her (h/c) hair a bit, trying to calm her down. "Shh... shh... it's ok love. They're gone now.." Funny. He felt as if he were trying to console a small child.
After a few minutes, she finally calmed down, and looked up at Arthur. "Thank you Arthur..." He gave her a small smile, nodding a little. "You're welcome, love." She felt her heart flutter at the nick-name, but she had to ignore that for now. "Arthur...?" "Yes, love?" ".... Can I stay h-here for the n-night...? I-I mean, just for the night!!" Arthur chuckled, smiling. "Of course, love. Would you like some tea?" (Y/n) nodded, smiling, so Arthur left to make the two of them a cup of Earl Grey.
He returned a few minutes later with two cups, and handed on to her, which she gently took, smiling up at him. "Thank you again, Arthur." This time he simply nodded and sat next to her. They sat like this for a while, and when they finished their tea, (Y/n) let out a soft yawn. "Tired, love?" "Yeah... a bit..." Arthur nodded in reply. "I'll take you to the guest room, love." With that, he scooped her up, carrying her bridal style, and walked to one of the guest rooms he had in his large house. He opened the door and gently set her on the bed, already noticing that she had fallen asleep. Her face was tinted pink from blush.
Arthur looked around, for what reason, he didn't know, perhaps to make sure that his magical friends weren't around to see what he was about to do? He blushed and leaned down, brushing some strands of (h/c) hair from her face, and pecked her on the nose. He couldn't kiss her on the lips, he was a gentleman after all. He smiled at her and walked out of the room quietly, before flicking off the lights and closing the door. He didn't even get to see the blush that darkened on (Y/n)'s cheeks...
(Y/n) yawned and walked out of the room, rubbing sleep from her eyes. Arthur sat in an armchair, reading one of his favorite books. "A-Arthur..." She called to him from the doorway, a pink tint dusting over her cheeks, gaining the British man's attention. "Yes?" "U-Umm... Well..." He had a look of complete confusiong as he set his book down and walked towards her. "Yes, love?" There was a slight awkward silence. Should she tell him? I mean... she thought he liked her the same way she liked him. She wasn't fully asleep after all, so she felt him pecking her on the nose...
"What is it, love?" She looked up at him, now completely in front of her, causing her blush to darken. "I.. I-I wanted to ask you something.." "Yes..?" Another awkward pause. "... D-Do you um... like m-me?" His face turned red, and he ran a hand through his messy blonde hair, his brows furrowing a bit. "W-Well love.... er..." (Y/n)'s face fell, taking this as rejection. "I-It's oka-" She was cut off, being pulled into a tight hug tends to muffle your speech. "I... I r-really like you too, love..." (Y/n) smiled and hugged him tightly, his grip finally loosening a bit, letting her breath. "A-Arthur... thank you...."
He smiled and leaned down, his face drawing closer, pulling the space between them together, into a wonderful kiss, one full of love. They stayed like this for a while until they had to reluctantly pull away for air. "I've liked you for so long... I'm... I'm glad..." He gave her a small, goofy smile, and squeezed her hand. "Me too, love.. " She smiled up at him, her (e/c) eyes sparkling with happiness. "Good.." She was pulled into another kiss, one that was a tad more passionate..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~Extended Ending! WOOT!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Y/n) smiled at Arthur, before tilting her head a bit. "Hey, Arthur?" "Yes love...?" "....What book were you reading?" She questioned, thinking that she saw him reading one of those cheesy romance novels. Guess she was right, because his face turned pink and he became a bit flustered. "J-Just a simple novel, y-you know.."
She couldn't help but giggle.
